When and how should I use the solvent in my hair prosthesis? Do I have to wash the system afterwards? Which brand do I choose? These and many others are the questions that arise to hair prosthesis users when using the solvent during maintenance.
Our recommendation is to always use Lace Release to remove the part in each maintenance, not to use solvent. The Lace Release facilitates the removal of the adhesive and prevents mesh breakage and hair loss. The solvent should only be used to remove stubborn adhesive residues or in case the piece has been left in place too long and the glue has risen to the hair. If you abuse the solvent, you will see that the hair tends to dry out, so it is advisable to use it sparingly.
Its use is very simple, you simply have to spray a little solvent on the adhesive and it acts instantly. You can remove the remains of adhesive with a wet wipe and then rinse the piece. If you are going to use shampoo, it better be neutral and without sulfates.
In our online store you can find 4 different brands of solvent: C-22, Walker, Rapid Release and Ghost Buster, all of them specifically selected after being tested by our team. You can find them in different formats, from 118ml to 3.8l.
